Well, after long and careful deliberation, it is official. This website is getting canned in March...and the next time I update will be at the newly established NamelessPlanet.com! This is a pretty exciting time for me. I hope that all of the repeat visitors will simply direct their browsers to the new URL. There will of course be a redirect page for this site for a while.

So, I bid thee farewell until March. There will be a big update and a major improvement on the appearance of the site. I hope to see you there.

Happy New Year...er...It's been awhile, but here are two new reviews of books I read in December/early January. Right now I'm currently reading Lust for Life, a book by Irving Stone about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. Recommended by my g/f, and it it is so far a great book. Look for new reviews in February for Vonnegut, the first book in a Dave Duncan series I'm trying out, and the great Guy Gavriel Kay. Take care!

Lots of new reviews! I've been reading like crazy lately. Any recommendations? My reading list is slowly shrinking...

I also added a new page to the reviews section that lists all of my recommended titles. This will be viewable from the review index page.

You'll probably notice that there are a lot of, well, plain old fiction novels appearing in the reviews section. If they get to be a hinderance, I might just open up a straight fiction section at the site. As a final note, please send those comments! Nothing makes me happier than receiving E-mail from someone who likes the site, or has some suggestions.

Before I get to the new reviews, I would like those who think that this site is some sort of endorsement engine to get lost. I get enough spam in my mailbox, and the books that you want to send me are not even ones I am interested in (you'd think this site would give you a bit of an idea). Maybe I should consider it a form of flattery, but to me it's just JUNK MAIL.

With that out of the way, I have three new reviews with a couple more on the way. I finally got off my ass and ruminated about the two fine books I have read by Vonnegut. Enjoy!

Well, I've finally found enough time to improve the efficiency of this site. A simpler menu (hopefully it loads quicker) and I cut out some of the "excess fat". I kinda regret getting rid of the action scenes section, but alas I don't really have the time or resources to make those scenes up. But I do have some cool ideas, so don't be surprised if that section shows up again.

Any comments on the new look? Feedback every now and then would be nice...

From now on the new book reviews will be listed here in the news area, instead of using those lame animated graphics. So to commence a new era of The Nameless Planet, here are four new book reviews:

Okay. I had a good look at the site today and decided that it needs a new layout. First of all, I'm planning on getting rid of the games section. Second of all, I'm going to limit the Star Wars section to my mini-essays. Third of all, I'm going to dedicate more time to the book reviews, since that's what I enjoy doing most. I know there are repeat visitors out there, so whoever you are if you have an opinion, tell me.

As a further note to the book reviews, I'm taking a course in SF this term at school. We're reading seven books, two of which I've read. I'll add those in the reviews section (a couple are on the way already) and I'll indicate which ones for those who are curious. And I will DEFINITELY be sure to review Vonnegut, so don't worry! (you know who you are).

Well so much for the updates on my vacation...my ISP was out of comission for awhile, then my monitor decided to quit. Anyways that's not important. What is important is that now I'm back in school so the updates may be few and far between.

However, I have two new book reviews (1 2) and expect a couple more soon. I'm also working on a new installment of Game Talk. I also recieved some more positive feedback, specifically about the Star Wars section. Thanks to all you return visitors!

V3 has eliminated the option of placing their banner on the page that is being redirected to. Instead, for free accounts, it's a frame or a pop-up window. I'm currently looking for another redirect service. I hate frames! Thank you for your understanding. Hopefully you are using the real URL anyway. To be on the safe side, stop using the redirect address. Use the true URL shown in your browser!
